Camp A.N.C.H.O.R

The Town of Hempstead's Camp Anchor offers a 6-week summer recreation program for all participants. The program is Monday-Friday and provides transportation. Some activities provided are sports, arts & crafts, home economics, drama, ocean, pool, clubs, dance, music, equine therapy, surfing etc. Participants are grouped based on age, needs and abilities. Camp Anchor currently has 32 different summer groups. Groups each have the opportunity to go on 2 field trips each summer. There are special events every Friday, including a generous BBQ given to Camp Anchor by the PBA, Field Day, Pool Parties etc. Families and friends of the Camp Anchor participants are invited to come and see their child perform in the annual camp shows. All current Anchor participants are eligible.

Time: Monday through Friday, 10am-3pm
